“Pitter Patter” is a simple rain-themed children’s song/chant that’s widely used in elementary music classrooms and early childhood settings. It has been passed along by teachers over time, with many common lyric variations (often featuring “pitter patter” rain sounds and references to the window pane). This resource presents my classroom-ready version of Pitter Patter with lyrics and movement, plus a short rain sound exploration using body percussion and a rhythm play-along with icons to extend the learning.
