Classroom Jams
Sometimes, I get random bouts of inspiration and like to create little jam sessions using instruments in my classroom. I loop the instruments using an app called Loopy Pro on my iPad to create the jams, and they are so much fun! After creating the third one, I decided to create a student-approachable Orff score so students can have their own jam sessions in the classroom.
Classroom Jam #3
Classroom Jam #3 is based off the B minor pentatonic scale. I used a contact microphone to recrod the sounds of a gong and singing bowl. I then used Koala sampler to play melodies with the instrumental samples. The Orff score provided below presents the song in a classroom accessable way and gives lesson idea for students.
